....the community's church
Sparks are ready to fly.. on 15th September!
After nearly 18 months of being closed, SPARKS toddler group is ready to restart on 15th September. Over the years the toddler group at has welcomed hundreds of families and everyone is so excited to be opening again in the church hall after such a long break. The church community have missed meeting families during the pandemic and are now ready to make new connections within the community. This free toddlers’ group is run by devoted volunteers, and in preparation Revd Simon Dunn, priest-in-charge of Greenways Benefice, and a band of merry helpers have been cleaning and organising resources. Every session includes a variety of games, story-time, craft activities, singing, snack time and refreshments for the adults.
In addition to this, we are planning for future alterations within the church, including the removal of the pews in order to offer a gathering space in the heart of the community. This is called ‘The Hope Project’. Simon said "It is the long-term commitment of the worshipping community of St Paul’s Church to change an ordered building from the 1800s into a more user friendly flexible space that is suitable for the wider community of Chippenham to use in the 21st century and beyond.” Plans are on display in the church itself and further news will come out as the project progresses.
Join us at Sparks (St Pauls Ark) for FREE fun for the under 5s, on Wednesday mornings during term time from 10 to 11.30am in St. Pauls hall. Mums, dads and carers all receive a refreshing cuppa on arrival while the children have fun and play. Please come along with your toddler and have fun!
