....the community's church
For many years our congregation have been prayerfully considering how to change our building to make it more accessible and usable by the local community, as well as improving the facilities such as heating and lighting. This project is called The Hope Project, as we hope to transform not just the building but the community through the use of the building. The plans for this reordering of the church have now been approved by the Diocese and we look forward to starting this work soon.
The work proposed includes; removing the pews and fitting a new wooden floor and heating system, which will create a flexible ground floor space for worship and activities. A revamped entrance and office area together with new toilets and kitchen. Improvements to the Chancel.
The Ground Floor Plan included here details the proposed changes we are planning to make, it is in pdf format so easy to download and view: Ground Floor Plan
As with any large project funding is so important. The church is committed to covering the costs and exploring applying for appropriate grants. If you would like to know more about this exciting project and how to help fund it please download this update sheet here.
Our Hope Prayer:
Gracious Father, thank you for the faith and vision that started the HOPE project for St Paul’s church. Thank you that each of us plays our part in your church, building your kingdom by your Holy Spirit through our actions and our words. May we be filled with wisdom and understanding of your plans and purposes, and create in each one of us a heart that is free from worldly constraints. Encourage from us a humble generosity of spirit, and of finances, as you have generously and extravagantly given gifts to us. May we freely offer these back to you, that your name will be glorified and proclaimed in this place. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen
There are a number of additional plans that make up the proposed detail, if you would like a copy of these, or would like to ask any questions or know more information please email here.
