“Who do you think you are” has become a popular TV show in recent times; the idea that we may be related to characters involved in great historical events catches people’s imagination, and helps form part of their identity.

This week’s passage in 1 Peter shows that our identity as Christians is now centred on God.

We have been adopted by the most active and central figure in all of history!

What things do you see people gain their sense of identity from?

Does knowing you are a child of God make this different for you?

What areas of identity in your life might you need to let God work on?
