Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your Name. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done On Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our sin, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the Kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours. Now and forever. Amen.
Our Ministries
As a Church of England licensed church, our ultimate aim is to teach and administer the faith in our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We are authorised to perform services including the teaching of beliefs, Holy Communion, Baptism, Marriage and Funerals.

Teaching
Every Christian you speak to will have their own way of expressing their belief in God and their own stories of their relationship with God. Likewise a Church, as the body of Christ, can also express this belief in different ways. But really it all comes down to something really simple - God is a loving God, who cares deeply about you, irrespective of who you are, what you do, what you believe or what you've done; and He wants to get to know you as a friend.
You don't have to do anything or be anything, He just wants to be your friend. Everything else can come later.
Being a Christian is about relationships - especially your relationship with God - we think it's best to explore that with others, so we'd love to talk more in person as this is the best way of getting to know you and you us! Here at St Pauls relationships are the key to expressing God's love.
Join a House Group - In the early church, Christian fellowship, prayer, and service took place mainly in private homes. At St Paul's we encourage and support weekly house group meetings. Focusing on unity, fellowship and prayer, these meetings are hosted in the homes of the congregation and take place within the local area. Holy Communion
Holy Communion (The Lord's Supper) takes place at St Paul's Church during the service on the first Sunday of each month. Practicing in open communion, all members of the congregation are welcome to receive Communion.
According to the New Testament, the rite was instituted by Jesus Christ during the Last Supper; giving his disciples bread and wine during a Passover meal, he commanded them to "do this in memory of me" while referring to the bread as "my body" and the cup of wine as "the blood of my covenant, which is poured out for many".
Join us in faith for The Lord's Supper, acknowledging the sacrifice made by Christ and the significance of the New Covenant with Jesus being the sacrificial lamb for humanity.
Baptism
Baptism is a part of the journey of faith - a Christian sacrament symbolising cleansing by ritual use of water and formally admitting the recipient to the Christian community, washing away sin and a ceremony of spiritual purification.
Baptism's are available in the Sunday morning service and usually occur on the 4th Sunday of the month, please contact the church office for more details.
If you are interested in having your child baptised, or being baptised yourself, please contact Revd Simon Dunn on 01249 324944 who will gladly talk through with you what is required and what baptism means.

Funerals
At St Paul's Church, funerals will reflect the unique life of the person you knew and we are here to make the funeral special. We're with you every step of the way and here to discuss special arrangements including music, hymns, readings and tributes.
In the event of a funeral we will be contacted directly by your chosen Funeral Director, so please contact them first. A suitable time and date will be agreed and a member of the ministry team responsible will contact you to discuss the arrangements for the day.

I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. Marriage
If you live in one of the Greenways Group of Churches parishes, of which St Pauls is one, you can get married at any of the churches in the group if you are legally free to do so. If you want to find out which parish you live in please visit this link. You may also be married at St Paul’s if you are a regular worshipper and are on the church’s electoral roll.
You may still get married at St Paul’s even if you don’t live in the parish, if you or your fiancé(e) can demonstrate a Qualifying Connection. A person has a Qualifying Connection with a parish if that person:

Was baptised in the parish. (This does not apply where the baptism formed part of a combined service of baptism or confirmation); or
-
Had his or her confirmation entered in a church register book of a church or chapel in the parish; or
-
Has at any time had his or her usual place of residence in the parish for at least 6 months; or
-
Has at any time habitually attended public worship in the parish for at least 6 months;
Or
A parent of that person has at any time during that person’s lifetime:
-
Had his or her usual place of residence in the parish for at least 6 months; or
-
Habitually attended public worship in the parish for at least 6 months;
Or
A parent or grandparent of that person was married in the parish.
If you or your partner have been married before you will need to speak to the Priest in Charge Revd Simon Dunn on 01249 324944 to discuss your application and talk through the options. A divorce does not necessarily rule out marriage in church. Each case is decided individually.
If you are interested in getting married at St Pauls, or any of the other churches in the Greenways Group of churches, St Nicholas’ Hardenhuish or St Peter’s Langley Burrell please contact the our office on 01249 444771 to arrange a time to visit the office to go through some of the details of getting married in the Church of England and to complete a banns application form. We ask for a £40 deposit at this time which can be paid either by cash or cheque.
