St Pauls Chippenham has a history that dates back to 1854, when the Foundation stone was laid in January of that year by Joseph Neeld Esquire of Grittleton. Then in April 1855 the Bishop of Gloucester and Bristol Consecrated St Pauls Church and celebrated the first service of Holy Communion in the building. The sermon spoken at that time commented that this was the first new Church to be built in the neighbourhood for 700 years. So it became 'the community's church', serving, supporting and ministering to the people north of the town.
St Pauls Chippenham is a very friendly and lively church focused on families and young people. If you want to belong to a lively, welcoming and worshiping community come along to one of our services we would love to welcome you, and as you journey with us, we pray you will encounter the love and peace of God.
